E is for eye contact.
The eyes really are the window to the soul. In a conversation we look to the eyes to receive unconscious emotional cues about the mindset of the person listening or speaking. Our own eyes convey to listeners what we are feeling. Doubt, anger, sadness, interest, excitement – we easily pick up these cues from eye contact. Eye contact is an integral part of real conversation, connection and communication.
But what if you are one of those people that has difficulty making or holding eye contact? Perhaps in failing to maintain eye contact you have found that you have inadvertently conveyed disinterest. Which is ironic, because that is actually an unconscious cue delivered and received from eye contact or in this case lack there of.
What can you do to develop this skill? You could probably surf the web and find different exercises which are helpful in developing a new habit over time. But if there is an underlying cause, something in your subconscious mind, that keeps you from holding that eye contact, Hypnosis can help.
Hypnosis to neutralize and reorganize the underlying cause combined with these exercises is a surefire way to gain this important skill quickly.
